| The U. S. Marine Hospital is becoming a busy place again. Plans are being finalized for the exterior renovation of the building, and we anticipate beginning the process in early Summer of 2005. Please continue to visit our website for progress reports.
We are also involved in several other activities. The FRIENDS of Marine Hospital meet regularly, and volunteer opportunities await anyone interested in helping plan and build the future of the hospital. We will be conducting tours of the building, and of the Portland neighborhood, in the near future.
A monthly meeting, the Doctors’ Discussion Group, comes together to talk about the history and heritage of the medical community in Louisville and Jefferson County. Anyone interested in learning more about our healthcare traditions are invited to attend. A calendar, listing upcoming events, will appear on these pages. |
